Indian Railways to ramp up the oxygen supply in states amid acute shortage

With the second wave of Coronavirus going on in the country, the demand for oxygen has drastically increased due to which the country is going through an oxygen deficiency crisis. The Centre now has put up a novel agency to ensure that the production of oxygen is not just ramped up but also equitably distributed to all the states. A group of ministers will now be deciding which state will get how many litres metric tones of oxygen depending upon the condition, the number of cases and demand for oxygen in the particular state. Special trains have now been put into motion by the central railways to hasten the supply of oxygen in different states. The trains will carry empty tankers which will be filled with the medical liquid oxygen in Bokaro and then will be transported to various states.
