Indian Cricketers' Outing Row: BCCI backs Team India, says they were not eating, ordered takeaway’

On New Year’s Eve India cricket team captain Rohit Sharma along with Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, Navdeep Saini and Shubman Gill were spotted having food in a restaurant. As players have strict guidelines in order to visit food courts, Cricket Australia and BCCI stepped in the matter. CA stated that The BCCI and CA are investigating the matter and seeking to determine whether the outing constitutes a breach of biosecurity protocol’.
However, sources have told Times Now that the Board of Control for Cricket in India has backed the Indian players saying the ‘they were not eating, ordered takeaway’. BCCI further claimed that the Australia Cricket Board is using strong words like investigation and probe.
