He was sent to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for 'further management of his injury' after consultation with a hand specialist in Sydney.
Return: Jadeja's return was expected by the management
Earlier, the BCCI had announced the squad for the first two Tests and it was expected that Jadeja might make a return for the third and fourth Test matches respectively.
Reports claimed that Jadeja would have gone to Ahmedabad early for the mandatory quarantine to be ready to join the full squad.
Fact: Jadeja's recovery is taking more time than expected
According to a report in Cricbuzz, Jadeja's recovery is taking more time than expected and there's "no chance" he will be fit for the Tests. Meanwhile, whether the senior cricketer will be fit for the white-ball matches against England is also not clear.
