India International Trade Fare-2012 all set to commence from Nov. 14

New Delhi. Nov. 7 (ANI): The 32nd edition of India International Trade Fair (IITF-2012) is all set be commenced from November 14 to 27 like every year at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

Talking to media Rita Menon, secretary, Ministry of Textile informed that business visitors will be welcomed between November 14 to 18 and From November 19 to 27 it will be open for the general public.

Menon also informed that this year's theme is 'Skilling India' and said: "I believe the theme 'Skilling India' is most pertinent, contemporary and is an extremely important objective of our policy today."

"It is the first time that head of a partner country, the Prime Minister of Belarus would inaugurate the fare. Our partner state is Uttarakhand and focus state is Andaman and Nocobar islands," said Menon.

"Along with the domestic participants we have a large number of overseas companies about 250 from 21 countries like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Belarus, China, Cuba, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Thailand," added Menon.

Entry tickets will be available at each and every stations of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to avoid long queues at the fare venue.

IITF, the largest trade fair in this part of the world saw participation of 7,000 exhibitors, including overseas participation from 28 countries, representing over 350 companies in 2011.

A large number of domestic and foreign businesspersons visited the fair and the fair attracted trade delegations from 73 countries and over one million general visitors also visited the fair last year. (ANI)
