India gears up for Vaccine For All; but many states to miss the May 1 mark?

India is daily witnessing a surge in the COVID -19 cases with more than 3L fresh cases being recoded for the ninth consecutive day. As the daily case count surges, India is gearing up for the vaccine drive, which is going to begin tomorrow. Many states have raised the concern of difference in the prices of vaccine for states and centres, several other states have stated the shortage of vaccine supply, leading to skipping of the vaccination drive. Chief Ministers of Karnataka & Goa has now also stated that they will be missing the vaccination drive starting tomorrow. Following this, the Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat also announced that the state will not be able to begin the vaccination drive from May 1.
