India fights COVID: Overnight curfew imposed in Jammu & Kashmir after spike in cases

India is witnessing an unprecedented crisis with the daily COVID crisis setting a new record. India today reported over 3.46L fresh cases with 2,600 fatalities in the last 24 hours. 70% of the country is witnessing stricter guidelines and curbs in some or another form, and the Union Territory of J&K has now also joined in. A two-day curfew has been imposed in J&K starting today onwards till Monday morning. Only essential and emergency services will be allowed during the curfew. The reason for imposing the curfew in J&K is to reduce the footfall since the civilians are not following COVID appropriate behaviour.
