India fights COVID: Ballari Neta holds mega rally ahead of polls in Karnataka; norms violated

Prime Minister Modi called off his election rallies in the state of West Bengal ahead of the seventh phase of assembly elections in the state amid the COVID and oxygen crisis in the country. But leaders of BJP and Congress continue to hold rallies in Karnataka's Ballari ahead of the polls in the constituency. The COVID norms were brazenly flouted at these rallies. This takes place even after the EC has imposed a ban on holding rallies, given the surge that is now being witnessed in the country of the COVID-19. The politicians are not only putting their own lives at risk by holding such rallies, but also risking the lives of the voters.
