An agreement on 'disengagement of forces' was reached between India and China on the north and south banks of Pangong Lake in eastern Ladakh. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, confirming the progress, told the lawmakers in Rajya Sabha on Thursday that during these talks, India did not concede anything.
Both countries decided during military and diplomatic talks that both sides should achieve complete disengagement at the earliest and comply fully with bilateral agreements and protocols, Singh said. The Chinese side is, by now, well conscious of our determination as well. Therefore, we expect the Chinese side to work with us in total honesty to solve these remaining problems.
