India-China LAC issue: Disengagement from pressure points to be resolved; 11th round today

The Indian and Chinese sides will meet for the next round of Corps Commander-level talks after a year has passed. Though the dates have not been officially confirmed, sources say that talks between the two sides will take place today. The talks will be focused on addressing outstanding problems, such as the Depsang Plains, Demchok, Gogra, and Hot Springs friction points. When the winters are over and the second phase of disengagement should begin, the two sides will meet, and the Chinese PLA will continue to be present in India's view of the LAC. The Chinese PLA ground forces tend to be moving into the plains of Aksai Chin, presumably in preparation for their annual summer exercises, according to reports.
