The latest developments in the India-China border standoff are now being reported. The first signs of a thaw in Ladakh are coming to light. Both the Indian Army and the Chinese troops are now stepping back from the Pangong Tso lake site in Ladakh, ever since the standoff began in June last year. China is now ready to withdraw its tanks and artilleries. While this is still a partial disengagement, it is yet a big step. Along with the machinery, the Chinese troops are also moving back, which were close to 50.000 in number at the border. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be addressing the upper house of the parliament tomorrow on the same.
