India beat England in the fourth T20I on Thursday to square the five-match series 2-2.

Team India was put into bat as Suryakumar Yadav scored 57 to help the side put up 185/8 in 20 overs.

In reply, England were going were strong at one stage (131/3) before losing their way in the chase.

India lost Rohit Sharma early on before KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav added a 42-run stand.

India were reduced to 70/3 at one stage as Surya played a fine knock to help the hosts.

Senior Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma scripted a new milestone on Thursday.

Rohit completed 9,000 runs in T20 cricket. Notably, Rohit became the second Indian batsman after Virat Kohli to achieve this mark.

Rohit now has 9,001 runs in 342 matches at a strike rate of 133.36.

He has six hundreds and 63 half-centuries under his belt.

Surya: Surya scripts these records with maiden fifty

Playing his second T20I, this was the first occasion where Surya got a chance to bat and he grabbed the chance with both hands.

He became the third cricketer to hit the first ball for a six in international career for a six (coming in T20Is; among full member teams).

Surya went on to smash a gritty fifty, hitting six fours and three sixes.

Fact: Notable feats scripted by bowlers

Jofra Archer (4/33) registered his best bowling figures in T20Is. Adil Rashid (1/39) raced to 54 career T20I scalps. He equaled the likes of Mohammad Hafeez and Sohail Tanvir. Bhuvneshwar Kumar now has 43 wickets in T20Is.

Fact: Roy gets past 1,000 runs, Rohit gets to 2,800 runs

Jason Roy (40) surpassed the 1,000-run mark in T20Is. He has become the sixth batsman from England to achieve this mark. Rohit raced to 2,800 runs in T20Is. He became the third batsman to achieve this feat after Virat Kohli and Martin Guptill.
