While addressing the audience at inaugural ceremony of '12th South Asia Conference - India's 'Neighbourhood First' Policy: Regional Perceptions', Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that it is important for neighbours to unite in efforts to defeat terrorism. He said, "On the security front, India is engaged in conversations with the neighbours with one exception, in order to develop a joint approach for regional peace and security. The true pathway to regional peace, security and prosperity lies in understanding each others' sensitivities and in following basic policies of non-interference in each others' internal affairs. It's important that we unite in our efforts to defeat terrorism. It is essential that terrorists and their ideological and financial networks are cut off and that they do not receive states' support. With the exception of one country frankly Pakistan, our region has adhere to principles. "
