IMD issues alert for Cyclonic storm in the Southern parts of India

Cyclone prediction: Due to heavy rains in Cheltenham, a coastal district in Kerela, is facing problems due to the floods. The combination of uninterrupted rain started last week Thursday morning, many homes are partially submerged. A cyclonic disturbance is likely to form over Lakshadweep and the Arabian Sea in the next 36 hours. This is likely to bring in heavy rainfall in the southern parts of the country. The Indian Meteorological Department said that a high-intensity cyclone would reach the Southern Parts by May 18th. The coast guard is seen issuing the warning to the fishermen to clear the sea for their safety.
