IMA takes out protest rally against increasing incidents of assaults on doctors

The Indian Medical Association's (IMA) Dharwad unit on Saturday took out a massive protest rally against the increasing incidents of assaults on doctors and medical students across parts of the nation. IMA was joined by the Indian Academy of Paediatric and several other medical organisations during the rally. The protestors carried placards that read slogans such as 'Save the Saviour,' 'Your blood,' 'My sweat,' 'Our tears,' 'We can't serve under threat,' etc. and raised slogans demanding justice. The protest comes in row to the strike called by the Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD) after a doctor was beaten black and blue by the relatives of a patient in Dhule.
