The economic impact of air pollution has been yet another massively debated topic, ICMR has now published a report and has highlighted that there has been an economic loss due to lost output from mature deaths and air pollution which was 1.4 percent of the GDP in India in the year 2019 which is equivalent to 2,60,000 crores. That is the estimate that is provided by the ICMR. ICMR’s comprehensive study suggests that indoor air pollution has reduced and outdoor air pollution has been contributing to many factors. The number of deaths has increased. The reason being outdoor air pollution. There has been a 64 percent reduction of deaths due to household air pollution which is a dangerous pattern.
