ICC Pays Tribute to Yuvraj, Features Him in Twitter Cover Photo

Yuvraj Singh’s decision to retire from international cricket after playing for 19 years has led to teary-eyed farewells and good wishes.

Many celebrities and fans took to Twitter to pay their tribute to the 2011 world cup hero and the ICC didn't fall behind.

The official Twitter account of International Cricket Council changed their cover photo to Yuvraj's image from 2011 world cup match - a high-point in the cricketer’s life, by his own admission.

“After 25 years, I have decided to move on. I was extremely lucky to play 400 games for India. I could have never imagined it when I first started playing cricket,” Yuvraj said.

After the announcement was made by the cricketer during a media interaction in Mumbai on Monday, 10 June, the ICC thanked him for his contribution to the filed.

While he has walked away from all forms of international cricket as well as the Indian Premier League, Yuvraj said he is hoping to play in other domestic T20 cricket leagues around the world, if he gets the approval from the BCCI.
