Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and IAF chief RKS Bhadauria welcomed the induction of Rafale fighter jets.
The formal induction ceremony for the first batch of five Rafale jets into the Indian Air Force's Golden Arrows Squadron took place at the Ambala Air Force Station on 10th September in the presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Florence Parly, his defence counterpart, Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria and Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar.
The jets had originally arrived at the airbase in Ambala on June 29 before undergoing extensive testing and preparation.
"In my recent foreign trip, I put the point of view of India in front of the world. I also made everyone aware of our resolve to not compromise our sovereignty and territorial integrity under any circumstances," said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
