Hyundai Venue expected to get dual-clutch automatic transmission

We all know that Hyundai Venue will be showcased in India on April 17, 2019, along with its premiere at the New York International Auto Show on April 17. Hyundai is expected to price this Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300 rival between Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).

To say that Hyundai Venue has been one of the most eagerly anticipated vehicles in the recent memory would not be incorrect. Every aspect related to this upcoming compact SUV has made headlines. From its codename QXi to the official name Venue, all the fresh details about it have amassed a lot of attention.

We all know that Hyundai Venue will be showcased in India on April 17, 2019, along with its premiere at the New York International Auto Show on April 17. Hyundai is expected to price this Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300 rival between Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). Expectations are that Hyundai Venue will be officially launched in India in May 2019.

It has been widely reported that Hyundai Venue will be available in a 1.4-litre petrol engine, a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol motor and a 1.4-litre diesel mill. Now, several reports are also claiming that the upcoming compact SUV will feature a dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). If Hyundai Venue does get a DCT, it would certainly be a major development and we might see other Hyundai vehicles being made available with the same transmission in the future.

There is a lot of information available about the exteriors and interiors of Hyundai Venue. We know the vehicle will get Hyundai's cascading grille. Also, it will come with split headlamps, diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, rear spoiler, skid plate, roof rails and sunroof. We also know that there will be a dual-tone roof option. The cabin of Hyundai Venue will be spacious and we will also see a touchscreen infotainment system, which will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. One can expect Hyundai to provide premium seat upholstery in Venue as well.

Hyundai Venue will also see the debut of the company's global 'BlueLink' car connected technology, which will have 33 features, including 10 exclusively for the Indian market. There will be features like SOS/emergency assistance, roadside assistance, remote climate control, maintenance alert, live traffic information, geo-fence alert, speed alert, valet alert and voice recognition - Indian English, among others.

While it is a well-known fact that Hyundai takes utmost care of the safety of its passengers, Venue compact SUV is expected to have safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, speed sensing auto door lock, speed alert system, cornering lamp and ISOFIX.
