Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 confirmed to launch in India soon, will be available on Amazon
Huawei will launch the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 in India soon. The company has confirmed the launch of its first pop-up camera phone in India via teasers last week. Amazon India has also teased the arrival of the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019, confirming that the phone will be available for purchase on the e-commerce platform. The mid-range smartphone touts a notcheless display, pop-up selfie camera and a Krin 710F chipset, among other things.
The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 first went official globally back in May and is being sold in some markets like Saudi Arabia and Kenya. In these markets, the Huawei Y9 2019 is priced roughly between Rs 15,000 to Rs 17,000, and we expect the official Indian pricing to be similar as well. The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is a followup to the Y9 (2019) which launched in India back in January at Rs 15,990.
Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 specifications
The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is very similar to the P Smart Z that went official in Italy back in May. In fact, the two phones are nearly identical in terms of design and hardware with the only difference being the Y9 Prime 2019 offers a triple camera setup while the P Smart Z offers dual cameras.
The upcoming Huawei phone in India sports a 6.59-inch FHD+ LCD display. It offers a notchless screen so the selfie camera has been hidden in a pop-up mechanism. The Y9 Prime 2019 is powered by an octa-core Kirin 710F chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. It is unclear whether Huawei will launch a higher RAM model in India.
The triple camera setup on the back of the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 includes a 16MP main camera, 8MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The pop-up camera houses a 16MP selfie sensor. The smartphone houses a 4,000mAh battery and comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It also comes with a dual tone finish on the back and has been launched globally in Midnight Black, Emerald Green and Sapphire Blue colours, and these colours are expected to come to India as well.
