What! Hrithik Roshan Wasn’t The First Choice For Mathematician Anand Kumar Biopic?

Check out which superstar was approached first for the Anand Kumar biopic

Let’s talk about Hrithik Roshan. Not about the controversies related to his personal life, haven’t we “Ranaut” of patience hearing that story? For a change, let’s discuss the more ‘creative’, ‘productive’ and ‘constructive’ work he is involved in. The superstar is all set to play Mathematician Anand Kumar in the genius’ biopic to be directed by Vikas Bahl.

While rumours about this new project had been doing the rounds, it was only recently that the actor and the makers confirmed the news. We are delighted, no two ways about that. While he has been making headlines for the unfortunate details of his personal equation with Kangana Ranaut, let’s not forget that he is a brilliant actor. One who has done justice to all his roles in the past. So there is no doubt that he will do wonders when he steps into the math wizard’s shoes and brings alive Anand Kumar’s story on the big screen.

However, we hear that HR was not the first choice for the role. The makers were actually looking to sign up another superstar, Akshay Kumar to play the mathematician. However, since he already has his plate overflowing with films right now, some in the making and some waiting to go on floors, Akki had to turn down the offer with deep regret. Thus stepped in Hrithik Roshan, with a relatively free slate the upcoming year.

Now, we hear the makers are keen to cast Katrina Kaif opposite him and are already in talks with the actress for her dates.

Apart from this untitled film on Anand Kumar’s life, Hrithik also has YRF’s action film along with Tiger Shroff. There is only one female lead in the film and she is cast opposite Hrithik. YRF announced Vaani Kapoor just last week. The film will be directed by his Bang Bang director Siddharth Anand.
