Hospitals send SOS for oxygen; Fortis Gurugram raises alarm over oxygen crisis

With the second wave of Coronavirus going on in the country, the demand for oxygen has drastically increased due to shortness of breath being a prominent symptom in covid positive patients. The dread of lack of oxygen is driving states to put a stoppage on the vehicle of the medical liquid oxygen. Now, SOS is coming in from hospitals across different states. One of the incidents happened today in the national capital region where Fortis hospital in Gurugram says there is just one hour of oxygen left and the tanker from Bhiwadi is not being allowed to come to Haryana. A doctor of the hospital tweets that “they cannot pay the price for a political war”. There are oxygen tankers that are waiting to cross the border to bring oxygen from Rajasthan to Haryana. The hospitals are helpless and are sending SOS to procure oxygen for the patients who are choking. Listen in!
