15 Feb 2021: Honda to launch H'ness CB350's cafe racer version tomorrow

Japanese automaker Honda will launch the cafe racer version of its H'ness CB350 motorbike in India tomorrow i.e. February 16.

The upcoming two-wheeler is likely to be called CB350RS and should differ from the CB350 retro roadster in terms of design.

However, it will draw power from a BS6-compliant 348cc, single-cylinder engine linked to a 5-speed gearbox.

Honda CB350RS will have a shorter tail with a taillight mounted on it, a clip-on handlebar, a flat-type seat, a blacked-out exhaust, and funky paint options.

The bike will pack a digital-analog instrument console, an all-LED setup for lighting, and shall ride on 19-inch front and 18-inch rear alloy wheels.

It should have a kerb weight of around 181kg and a 15-liter fuel tank.

Fact: Honda CB350RS: Power and performance

The Honda CB350RS should be powered by a BS6-compliant 348cc single-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The mill should generate 20.7hp of maximum power at 5,500rpm and a peak torque of 30Nm at 3,000rpm.

Safety: Honda CB350RS: Brakes and suspension setup

To ensure the safety of the rider, the Honda CB350RS should be equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels along with dual-channel ABS for improved handling on the roads.

Suspension duties on the motorcycle should be taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and a mono-shock unit on the rear end.

Fact: Honda CB350RS: Pricing and availability

The pricing and availability details of the Honda CB350RS in India will be revealed at the launch event tomorrow. However, it should carry a premium over its roadster sibling which starts at Rs. 1,86,500 (ex-showroom).
