Home Minister Amit Shah to lead a roadshow in West Bengal today; Saffron push in the state?

Home Minister Amit Shah is in West Bengal for a two-day visit, ahead of the state Assembly elections. It is the second day of Amit Shah's visit to the state. On his first day of the visit, Amit Shah paid his tributes to Swami Vivekananda and Khudiram Bose. Amit Shah is said to be paying his tribute today to Rabindranath Tagore. A massive roadshow is also expected to be led by Union Minister Amit Shah.

Amit Shah's visit comes during the political turbulence in West Bengal. 7 TMC leaders joined BJP yesterday, in the presence of Amit Shah, including TMC's strongmen Suvendu Adhikari. Leaders from opposition parties other than TMC also joined BJP as well.
