COVID-19 new guidelines issued by Punjab chief secretary; surge recorded in the state

India continues to fight Coronavirus and after Delhi, a surge in the COVID cases has been recorded in the state of Punjab. Punjab state Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan has said that all the officials concerned have been directed to ensure that minimum 15 contacts of each positive patient must be identified, and tested as per the COVID-19 guidelines.

The state has issued new guidelines amid the surge of COVID cases in the state. Times Now's Gurpreet Chinna states that the state has earlier also decided on this policy and has now finally decided to adopt this policy. The policy has been decided by the state in order to contain the spread of the virus in the state.
