Holi 2019 special: Top 5 recently launched cars, SUVs in India with best colour options

India will be celebrating Holi, the festival of colours, on March 21. Colour forms an important component of cars and SUVs as well. After one has decided the vehicle to go for, the next decision usually pertains to its colour.

We are only into the third month of 2019 and the year has already seen some auto majors launching exciting new cars and SUVs in India. Be it Maruti Suzuki India, Mahindra and Mahindra, Honda Cars India, Ford India or Tata Motors, all have introduced new vehicles in the country this year.

India will be celebrating Holi, the festival of colours, on March 21. Colour forms an important component of cars and SUVs as well. After one has decided the vehicle to go for, the next decision usually pertains to its colour.

As the country is gearing up to celebrate Holi, we take a look at the top five recently launched cars and SUVs in India with the best colour options.

2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR

Maruti Suzuki India launched the 2019 WagonR on January 23 at an introductory price of Rs 4.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR is available in six colour options -- Magma Grey, Silky Silver, Superior White, Autumn Orange, Nutmeg Brown and Poolside Blue.

The "Big New WagonR" gets two engine options -- a three-cylinder 1.0-litre K10B engine and a four-cylinder 1.2-litre K12M motor. The K10B mill delivers 67 bhp and 90 Nm of torque, while the K12M engine churns out 82 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. Both the motors get a five-speed manual transmission with an option for a five-speed AGS (Auto Gear Shift).

Mahindra XUV300

Mahindra and Mahindra gave the country a Valentine gift by launching XUV300 on February 14 in India at a starting price of Rs 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra XUV300 comes in with six colour options -- Pearl White, D Sat Silver, Red Rage, Aquamarine, Sunburst Orange and Napoli Black.

Mahindra XUV300 is available in a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel motor. The petrol engine delivers 110 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, while the diesel mill is good for 115 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. Both engines get a standard six-speed manual gearbox. The company is expected to provide XUV300 with an automatic transmission in near-future.

2019 Ford Figo

Ford India launched the 2019 Figo facelift at an introductory price of Rs 5.15 lakh (ex-showroom, India) on March 15. The new Ford Figo gets seven colour options -- White Gold, Moondust Silver, Smoke Grey, Absolute Black, Deep Impact Blue, Ruby Red and Oxford White.

The 2019 Ford Figo facelift is available in three engine options -- a 1.2-litre TiVCT petrol engine, a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel motor and a 1.5-litre TiVCT petrol engine. The 1.2-litre TiVCT petrol engine generates 96 PS and 120 Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre TDCi diesel motor churns out 100 PS and 215 Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The 1.5-litre TiVCT petrol engine delivers 123 PS and 150 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

2019 Honda Civic

Honda Cars India introduced the 2019 Honda Civic in the country on March 7 at a starting price of Rs 17.69 lakh (ex-showroom, India). There are five colour options available with the tenth-generation Honda Civic -- Platinum White Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic and Golden Brown Metallic.

The 2019 Honda Civic is available in a 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, which is good for 141 PS and 174 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). There is also a 1.6-litre i-DTEC turbo diesel engine, which delivers 120 PS and 300 Nm of torque. This engine gets a six-speed manual transmission.

Tata Harrier

Tata Motors launched Harrier on January 23 at an introductory price of Rs 12.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Tata Harrier is available in five colour options - Calisto Copper, Thermisto Gold, Ariel Silver, Telesto Grey and Orcus White.

Tata Harrier gets a Kryotec 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine, which produces 140 PS and 350 Nm of torque. The motor is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
