Noted Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap has slammed the Home Minister Amit Shah in a contentious tweet.
"Our Home Minister is a coward of the highest order. He has got his own police and an army of goons, yet beefs up his own security and attacks unarmed protestors."
Kashyap, a known BJP antagonist, also labelled Shah as "neech" (degenerate) and "ghatiya" (worthless). "Shah is the epitome of being disgusting and despicable. History will spit on this beast," he concluded.
— Anurag Kashyap (@anuragkashyap72) January 26, 2020
Kashyap is a strident critic of Citizenship Amendment Act and has put his weight behind the protestors rallying against the CAA.
Lost all respect for this ‘filmmaker’. What a fall. Behaving like a third grade twitter troll. You have completely lost it Anurag. You need help NOW https://t.co/wMhnVvwqrx— Manak Gupta (@manakgupta) January 27, 2020
His unsavoury language, however, drew criticism from many journalists and Twitterati, some of whom advised him to get help.
