A foot overbridge near Mumbai’s landmark Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus railway station collapsed on the evening of 14th March 2019, killing five people and injuring 36.
Though the overbridge was under repair, it was still in use. The unfortunate incident occurred during the busiest hours of the evening when footfall was at its highest.
Rescue operations are underway.
