Health Ministry briefs on COVID crisis & rising cases of Mucormycosis in India

Health Ministry briefs on the COVID-19 situation in India currently. The Health Ministry has emphasised on the vaccination drive and stated that vaccination is a pillar that the government is focusing on. The Health Ministry stated that 14.56 crore vaccine doses have been provided to states free of cost. AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria addressed the issue of Mucormycosis and other fungal infections that have now come into the picture. He further stated that the cases are on the rise. However, it is not contagious, Low immunity mainly leads to Black Fungus. In last 17 days, steady decline of cases are being witnessed, Recovery cases are more than active cases, stated the Health Ministry. Watch the video to know more!
