A 19-year-old girl was brutally gang-raped in Hathras and succumbed to her injuries while being treated in Delhi. The case sparked outrage amongst the citizens, urging the governments to step up and end the atrocities towards women and Dalits in particular.
Ever since then, various theories have come up in and around the case, wherein the Uttar Pradesh government said that there is a conspiracy that is being hatched by using the Hathras case and people are trying to build casteist tensions in Uttar Pradesh.
Times Now earlier exposed the call data records which showed that the victim and the accused knew each other and the same was confirmed by the village head. A woman constable Neha, who took the victim to the hospital spoke to Times Now and stated that neither the mother of the victim nor the victim herself named anybody for the assault. She also added that both of them did not mention rape as well.
