While TIMES NOW reporters were trying to get into the village of the victim’s family, they were stopped by the officials. All the roads to the victim’s village have been blocked. The media is being kept 2 km away from the village and no questions are being answered.
The reporter confronts an IAS officer about the District Administration’s decision on the same issue, to which he responds that they cannot let anyone in until they get orders that the investigation is over. When asked the reason behind this decision, since media is the fourth pillar and never has ever before been kept away, he stops responding. After being pressed on for long, he comments that these are decisions made by the higher authority and people can go ask the DM instead.
The reason behind the seclusion of media, in this case, is yet to be known.
