Haryana launches 'Operation Durga' to ensure women's safety from street Romeos

On the lines of Uttar Pradesh's 'anti-romeo squad', the Haryana government has launched 'Operation Durga', to ensure women's safety from the street romeos. During the operation, several young boys sitting in parks, bus, and railway station were nabbed for allegedly indulging in crimes such as sexual harassment and passing lewd comments. Giving details, a retired police officer said that today's youngsters are indulging in activities which are ruining their career and 'Operation Durga' has been started to bring them back on track. Reportedly, 72 youths, including both boys and girls, were nabbed on the first day of the operation.
