Haryana Job Scam: More skeletons tumble out of Haryana Staff Selection Commission
In a latest development in the Haryana job scam, the court has accepted the request of two candidates, who had applied for the posts of clerk and municipal secretary to be entertained as independent witnesses.
"Two separate records were available against one single roll number. Commission employee Punit exercising his own authority was issuing new registration numbers which was illegal," Kapil Bhadana of Faridabad told the court in a petition.
Kapil Bhadana also cited examples of Saddam and Ashok Kumar whose original roll numbers were 1510811710 and 1510848501 but they were interviewed against roll number 1510911710 and 1510948501 respectively.
The complainant has claimed that one of the commission employees had deleted the records including the interview slips of illegal roll numbers in his presence in the office of HSSC Chairman.
Kapil had managed to click pictures of the interview slips showing new roll numbers before the same were deleted from his mobile phone. He had also managed to send the slips to his lawyer through Whatsapp.
"The applicant (Kapil) was again and again threatened by the officials present including the Chairman," the petition said.
Another complainant Ajay Deswal, who had applied for the post of Municipal Secretary has said that the son of Commission Confidential Branch Superintendent Subhash Parashar, Ankur Parashar was declared the topper while he was deliberately given less marks in the personal interview. Hence, the case is required to be investigated in detail besides preserving the relevant record.
"Applications are disposed of with the directions to the applicants to approach SIT tomorrow or day after tomorrow. Considering the facts of the case and allegations levelled in the applications, this court directs the SIT to take appropriate steps immediately to get the records of all the examinations in dispute preserved by issuing requisite directions to the competent authority of the HSSC," the order unissued by Additional Sessions Judge , Narender Sura said.
The court has directed the complainants to join the investigation within a couple of days.
Panchkula police during the last month had arrested nine people including Subhash Parashar, Rohtash Sharma, Sukhvinder Singh, Anil Sharma, Punit Saini ,Dharmendra, Balwan Singh (posted in IT cell on contract bases) and Surender Kumar, Assistant in Irrigation Department.
The police has also arrested Suresh Kumar from Jind who allegedly collected money for providing jobs.
There are allegations that the police so far has not booked any of the senior officers including the chairman of Haryana Staff Selection Commission, who is accused of threatening one of the Candidates.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter had assured that the probe will be transparent and the guilty will not be spared. The Opposition Indian National Lok Dal had demanded removal of the Chairman and had alleged that the job scam was not possible without the involvement of the Chairman.
