Haryana Government takes U-Turn on ban of crackers; allows sale for 2 hours

While Uttar Pradesh is all set to launch a website so that people can celebrate digital Diwali and avoid bursting of crackers, other BJP rules States are taking a U-Turn on their promise to ban firecrackers. Haryana Government has opened a two-hour window ahead of Diwali allowing the sale of crackers.

The stubble burning in Haryana and other neighbouring states had surged the pollution level to extreme worst. Due to the jolting increase of air pollution, the National Capital also announced a ban on bursting crackers. After Haryana, the state of Karnataka has too allowed the bursting of green-crackers.
