The Central Vista project has become a hot issue of controversy and discussion in India during the last few weeks. While opposition politicians continue to rage against the ongoing work in the midst of the pandemic-induced lockdown, the Delhi Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed a petition seeking a halt to the Central Vista Avenue Redevelopment Project. At the same time, there is a lot of conjecture about the project's expected schedule. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri took to Twitter on Monday morning to refute a report that stated work on the Prime Minister's house will begin in August. "Conceptual designs for the Prime Minister's residence have yet to be provided to the Ministry," the Aviation Minister complained, calling the news "amusing."
