A day after the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) decided not to contest the upcoming Bihar elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of Janata Dal (United), LJP president Chirag Paswan on October 05 stated that the party had many expectations from current Bihar CM, but he hasn't faired well on those.He said, "We had many expectations from current Bihar CM, but he hasn't faired well on those. Today, it's a matter of concern for me that what Bihar CM's idea of development is. The benefits of schemes haven't reached the grassroots." "If I had to choose the easier path, I would have joined the 'gathbandhan', but I choose a difficult path to give Bihar its due and bring back the state's lost pride," he added. LJP on Oct 04 announced, after a meeting in New Delhi its decision to go solo in the ensuing assembly election in Bihar. The Bihar assembly polls will be held in three phases on October 28, November 3, and November 7, and the counting of votes will take place on November 10.
