Over the weekend Gwyneth Paltrow decided to celebrate her 48th birthday in standard celebrity fashion by posting a nude picture of herself to Instagram. But, in and amongst the praising comments, daughter Apple was not happy about her mum's revealing picture.

Late on Sunday night, the Goop founder took to Instagram to celebrate her birthday in the way celebrities are wont to do, with a nude picture of herself.

Paltrow uploaded the post, which shows her posing strategically in her garden, alongside the caption, "In nothing but my birthday suit today... thank you all so much for the birthday wishes and thank you to goop 鈥榮 insanely amazing brand new body butter for making me think I can still get my kit off. 馃挋 #goopgenes."

Numerous celebrity friends quickly took to the comments to show their support. Courtney Cox wrote, "Happy Birthday! What a beautiful girl you are and inspiring in so many ways. 鈾ワ笍 ," while Vanessa Hudgens commented, "Wow 馃槏 ," and new mum Katy Perry said, "HBD GP! Love this low profile way to celebrate 鈾ワ笍鈾ワ笍鈾ワ笍 ".

But Gwyneth's daughter Apple also had some thoughts of her own about the picture, simply commenting, "MOM" on the post. So even very very famous celebrities embarrass their kids...
