Gur closes steady on sporadic demand

New Delhi, Apr 1 (PTI) The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market ended steady in the national capital today following small buying support against restricted arrivals.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets too closed without any changes on adequate stocks against muted demand.

Marketmen said ample stocks positions coupled with scattered buying mainly kept gur prices unaltered.

Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal): Gur chakku Rs 3,200-3,300, pedi Rs 3,200-3,300, dhayya Rs 3,400-3,500 and shakkar Rs 3,500-3,600.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,550-2,600, chakku Rs 2,750-2,950, khurpa Rs 2,650-2,750 and Ladoo Rs 2,900-2,950.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,900-2,950 and dhayya Rs 2,950-3,000.
