Gujarat campaign LIVE: Good if Modi wants to ride seaplane but that's distraction, says Rahul Gandhi

On the last day of campaigning for the second and last phase of the Gujarat Assembly election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today has planned a spectacle for all- a seaplane ride from Sabarmati.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has boarded India's first seaplane from Sabarmati riverfront and is enroute Dharoi Dam in Mehsana district- from where he will head to offer prayers at the Ambaji Temple .

Terming it as "Development that Congress can't even imagine," the Prime Minister on Monday in a rally said, "As many as 106 such waterways have been planned in the country."

His return journey would also be by the same seaplane at 2:30pm.

Addressing a rally on Monday, PM also explained , "We cannot have airports everywhere, so our government has planned to have these seaplanes."

The campaigning today for the Gujarat Assembly poll second-phase closes at 5pm for 93 constituencies.
