WATCH: Ruckus in Gujarat Assembly, Congress MLA Pratap Dudhat hits BJP's Jagdish Panchal with mic

The Gujarat Assembly witnessed unruly scenes today with a Congress MLA allegedly throwing a microphone at a BJP legislator during the Question Hour.


Congress MLA Pratap Dudhat was suspended for the entire session after he allegedly threw a microphone at BJP legislator Jagdish Panchal inside the Gujarat Vidhan Sabha.

It all started when Independent MLA Jignesh Mevani asked a question from the BJP government. The minister concerned took 20 minutes to reply to Mevani's question.

At this, Gujarat deputy chief minister Nitin Patel remarked that everyone should keep the questions and answers short. Almost simultaneously, Congress MLA Vikram Madam raised his hand but was not allowed to speak.

This made the Congress MLAs furious and they started shouting slogans inside the Vidhan Sabha. In the melee, Congress MLA Pratap Dudhat allegedly threw a mic at Jagdish Panchal, a BJP MLA.

Heated arguments ensued between the BJP and the Congress MLAs. Speaker suspended Congress MLAs Amrish Der and Vikram Madam for a day. Congress MLA Pratap Dudhat was suspended for the entire session.
