New Delhi, Mar 31 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Wednesday rose by Rs 6 to Rs 3,763 per 10 quintal in futures trade after speculators increased their positions driven by a firm trend in spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed for April contracts increased by Rs 6, or 0.16 per cent, to Rs 3,763 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 39,295 lots.
According to marketmen, raising of bets by speculators tracking a firm trend in spot market on thin supplies from growing belts mainly led to the rise in guar seed prices here.
However, guar seed for May delivery traded down by Rs 2, or 0.05 per cent, at Rs 3,810 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 17,325 lots. PTI SRS RUJ RUJ
