Guar gum futures gain on spot demand

New Delhi, Mar 22 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Monday gained Rs 10 to Rs 5,950 per five quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings on spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for April delivery traded higher by 0.17 per cent, or Rs 10, to Rs 5,950 per five quintal with an open interest of 45,480 lots.

Guar gum contracts for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 13, or 0.22 per cent, at Rs 6,030 per five quintal as open interest stood at 10,490 lots.

Analysts said after tracking firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets which led to the rise in guar gum prices. PTI SRS RUJ RUJ
