New Delhi, Jan 14 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Thursday gained Rs 35 to Rs 6,062 per five quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings on spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for January delivery traded higher 0.58 per cent, or Rs 35, to Rs 6,062 per five quintal with an open interest of 930 lots.
The contracts for delivery in February rose by Rs 33, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 6,130 per five quintal as open interest stood at 52,755 lots.
Analysts said after tracking firm physical market trend traders raised their bets which led to the rise in guar gum prices. PTI RUJ SHW SHW
