Guar gum futures gain on spot demand

New Delhi, Feb 4 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Thursday gained Re 1 to Rs 6,200 per five quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings on spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for February delivery traded higher 0.02 per cent, or R 1 to Rs 6,200 per five quintal with an open interest of 21,075 lots.

Analysts said after tracking firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets which led to the rise in guar gum prices.

The contracts for delivery in March traded lower by Rs 4, or 0.06 per cent, at Rs 6,268 per five quintal as open interest stood at 35,405 lots. PTI SRS RUJ RUJ
