New Delhi, May 8 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Friday gained Rs 28 to Rs 5,215 per five quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings on spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for May delivery traded higher 0.54 per cent, or Rs 28, to Rs 5,215 per five quintal with an open interest of 6,875 lots.
Likewise, the contracts for delivery in June rose by Rs 26, or 0.5 per cent, to Rs 5,250 per five quintal as open interest stood at 35,855 lots.
Analysts said after tracking firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets which led to rise in guar gum prices. PTI SRS SHW SHW
