Ground report: Covid19 vaccine storage facility in Bengaluru

The walk-in freezer in Bengaluru's Anand Rao circle has a capacity of nearly 45 lakh doses. While Karnataka is expected to get 13.90 lakh doses of vaccines in the first phase, health care workers will be the first ones to get a shot of the vaccine.
The state also has prepared five regional storage centers at Chitradurga, Kalburgi, Dakshina Kannada, Mysuru, and Bagalkot. 9000 vaccine carrier vehicles will assist in the transportation of these vaccines from the main storage facility to the secondary & tertiary ones. The freezer in this facility willl be able to store the vaccine at a temperature between 2-8 degree Centigrade.
