Govt strengthening health infrastructure in rural areas: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) June 05 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of oxygen plants and other medical facilities virtually in Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jaipur, Bhilwara and Udaipur districts of the state. During the programme, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the State Government is working towards strengthening the health services infrastructure up to the Panchayat level in the face of the dreadful second wave of corona infection and the fear of the third wave. The cooperation of Bhamashahs and industrialists is important in giving shape to the resolve to provide better health services to the people of the state. The CM said that our commitment to serve humanity has been further strengthened with the support we are getting in the expansion of necessary medical equipment and facilities up to primary health centre (PHC) and community health centre (CHC) level. Speaking on the health facilities in the state, Raghu Sharma, the Health Minister said that health services are being strengthened in about 400 community health centres by identifying them to combat the possible third wave of coronavirus. Facilities like ICU and oxygen beds, oxygen plant and oxygen supply the system through the pipeline are being developed in these medical centres. He said that in view of the possibility of the third wave of coronavirus, necessary facilities are also being mobilized for prevention and treatment of infection among children.
