Government steps in to rescue sailors who are held hostage by China, piles pressure on Beijing

On The Newshour Special Edition today, Pranesh Kumar Roy talks about the 39 Indian sailors who have been kept hostage by China. These sailors are held hostage from the last seven months. They're held captive on a ship without clean water or a doctor on-board. The sailors are requesting the Indian Government to rescue them and save their lives.
To help these 39 sailors, Times Now conducted ‘Save our Sailors’ campaign. After the mega impact of the campaign, the Ministry of External Affairs has urged China to provide urgent assistance to the sailors. . Beijing earlier refused to pay any heed to such requests, but China is now considering the request that has been put forth by the Ministry of External Affairs. Shipping Minister while speaking to Times Now stated that the ‘Indian sailors will return home soon’.
