Government will soon bring better mineral policy: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) Jan 11 (ANI): Discussing the possibilities of development in the mining sector in Rajasthan with Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agarwal, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that there is immense mineral wealth in Rajasthan, whose proper exploitation can change the picture of not only Rajasthan but also of our country. He said that the state government will work with full commitment, technology, transparency and investment friendly policy to take the state forward in the field of mining. CM Gehlot also directed the officials to constitute a task force comprising officers of Forest Department, Mines Department and Revenue Department headed by the Chief Secretary for speedy disposal of issues related to it. During the meeting, the Chief Minister underlined that the state government is constantly taking decisions with a positive attitude to advance Rajasthan in the field of mining. He said that the State Mineral Exploration Trust has been formed to give impetus to mineral exploration in the state. The CM also said that the government will soon bring a better mineral policy. This will provide a favourable environment for investment in the mining sector in Rajasthan. An effective campaign will also be launched so that investors can get information about our policies and decisions and they can become our partners in the journey of development.
