Government approves 5G trials in India; no Chinese firms for trials

Indian Telecom Department has given a green signal to launch the 5-G trials in India. The service providers will start 5-G trials in different locations across India. The government said no Chinese firms are allowed to take part in India's 5-G trials. The trials will cover rural, urban, and semi-urban areas of the country. They have also given the nod to the spectrum trials. Telecom Department has already approved the application of telecom companies, including Reliance Jio, Vodafone, and MTNL, for conducting 5-G trials in India. None of the companies is allowed to use any Chinese technology to test the data. The list approved by the telecom dept does not include any Chinese company.
