Gor Mahia v Zoo Kericho match moved to Nairobi

Coach Hassan Oktay might have to do without the services of experienced players - including captain Harun Shakava

The midweek Kenyan Premier League clash pitting Gor Mahia against Zoo Kericho has been moved to Nairobi.

The Wednesday's tie, that was set to be staged in Machakos’ Kenyatta Stadium has since been brought to Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani.

“Gor Mahia FC vs Zoo Kericho FC will tomorrow be played at Kasarani Stadium from 4 pm and not Machakos Stadium as earlier scheduled,” KPL said in a statement.

With the match being moved to the Capital, K’Ogalo are expected to capitalize on the situation when they take on Lobi Stars of Nigeria in the Caf Champions League match on Sunday at the same venue.

For Hassan Oktay and his charges, the change of venue means that they won’t have to cover the 66-kilometer road trip to Machakos just three days before they take on the Nigerians.
